When we are traveling to other countries, the most annoying
thing is communication barrier. I thing a great type of new thing would be smart
wearable devices. I propose it has two small devices, one that wear on hand and
combine with smart phone and translator. The other one wear on your neck for
speaking. The device you wear is for receiving and translating then when you
speak the neck device will speak the local language for you. Therefore wherever you travel to you don’t
need to worry about language barrier, and of course the smart device will allow you online shopping, chatting, and GPS.
I know technology already exists to translate what you say and say it in another language. There is an app that does it. For translating what you hear, i am not sure. The challenge, i think, will be to have an internet connection wherever you go. Because this technology works with internet connections. In some countries, internet connections are not readily available.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a great thing. I am traveling a lot, so it would make my trips much easier. I remember when I stacked in Germany and of course I did not know their language. In small town not everyone knew English, so it was a big challenge to communicate with some people. In addition, this translate not only would be able to help to communicate, but at the same time it would teach you the new language (new words and pronunciation).
ReplyDeleteThis would be really cool. It would have to work without internet because if you are traveling to somewhere without internet it would have to work. But I think it would be way better then using a phone and translation app. And since it has gps you would not need a phone at all.
